Firmin was established in London in 1677. Since then it has become one of the UK's leading manufacturers and suppliers of military uniforms and accessories. It has earned a worldwide reputation as quality leader for its specialised products and has a long-established clientele in fifty countries worldwide.

Firmin is official supplier of a wide range of uniform equipment and accessories to the UK MOD and is active on a number of long-term supply contracts. Existing clientele includes Armed Forces (army, air-force, navy), Interior Ministries, Police, Fire, Ambulance Services, Customs, Immigration, Coast Guard and other Not For Profit and Humanitarian organisations.

Firmin has an unrivalled expertise and is able to provide a unique advisory service with the highest credentials for prospective clients ranging from protocol, ceremonial procedures, manning levels and uniform design. The product offer ranges from top ceremonials, to combat kit, to presentation gifts.

Firmin's UK factory, which employs 75 people, specialises in the manufacture of a diverse range of uniform equipment and accessories, including: buttons, badges, swords, medals, shoulder boards, braid, aiguillettes, sashes, belts, canes, swagger sticks, batons, berets, service caps and horse furniture.

Working with The Diaward Group, its associate in Hong Kong, Firmin can provide a full military outfitting service for all forms of military uniforms and protective equipment, including: Ceremonial, Parade, Barrack and Combat wear, Mess Dress, anti-ballistic protection, gas masks, boots, tents, webbing and a wide range of field equipment.

Firmin can provide a full design and make up service for high quality Orders, Decorations & Medals and State Gifts. Supporting this association, J.R. Gaunt & Son, a member of The Firmin Group, is official supplier of ribbon to HM The Queen and holds a Royal Warrant.

Firmin specialises in a high level of customer contact to ensure conformity to specification. To facilitate client contact, the company works with locally appointed representatives and its international sales team makes regular visits to Africa and the Middle East.
